Searching

Cool Scripture Cite

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8)

If You Are Searching
Mark Sibley Jones

If you are searching for meaning in life, consider how to make someone else's life more meaningful.

If you are searching for God . . . you probably won't find what you are looking for . . . but you will find that the search itself is a discovery.

If you are searching for love, then lay aside your pretenses. In seeing how others respond to your true self will you find those who value you for who you are.

If you are searching for self-esteem, give yourself to discipline. In mastering our desires, we focus our energies on living well. A life worth living well is a life that we esteem.

If you are searching for truth, open yourself to the perspectives of others.

If you are searching for peace, let go of what you cannot control.

If you are searching for hope, live as if God's promises are true.

If you are searching for gratitude, then you have already found something to be thankful for. A desire for gratitude is a seed planted by the Spirit.
